Michael Malarkey In Norwich – Former Vampire Diaries Star To Perform At Epic Studios

There’s a bit of excitement building in the Epic Studios office as we head towards October. Among other music and sporting events coming up in the calendar next month, is a night in the company of British-American actor and singer, Michael Malarkey.

Malarkey may be best known for his role as ‘Enzo’ in series’ 5-8 of The Vampire Diaries – but he started his career on the London stage, having studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Prior to the Vampire Diaries role, Malarkey appeared as Elvis in the musical ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ and he also played Jay Gatsby in a theatre production of The Great Gatsby at Wilton’s Music Hall, London.

When he joins us at Epic Studios 24th October it will be as part of a European tour, promoting debut album ‘Mongrels’. The 34-year-old previously released 2 Eps ‘Feed the Flames’ (2014) and ‘Knots’ (2015) but the album is what fans of his music will have been waiting for. We found the following synopsis of this latest musical offering on The Michael Malarkey website:

“’Mongrels’ represents the many-faced animal within us that is here but never quite from here; the dreamer within us, stricken with wanderlust, who is tuned to the frequencies of change; the nomad within us whose roots grown not in the ground, but in the wind. It reflects the mystery of our vagrant nature, at times a source of weakness and at times of power. Mongrels is an album of the changing of the seasons, literal and figurative. It is a journey through the dark woods of Malarkey’s mind, hashing out the trials and tribulations of relationships, wrestling with the opposing forces within, yet always seeking to find meaning in the impermanence of the journey.”

See you 24th October!
