Epic Studios Seeks Local Talent

Some readers will be aware of Epic Studios’ new live music manager, Rick Lennox, who recently joined our 2017 team. Last week he shared a request for local acts to send him their music, so that they may be considered as support bands for our headliners in 2017.

Are you a solo artist or a member of a local band? If so,Rick is still on the look out for you to showcase your talent on the venue’s stages – previously graced by musicians from across the globe including such names as Public Service Broadcasting, Chase and Status, The Orb, Wolfgang Flür (Kraftwerk), Gentleman’s Dub Club…

In a recent interview with the Eastern Daily Press, Rick explained why:

“It’s really easy for local acts to get stuck in Norfolk, they start playing at pubs and they struggle to grow a wider audience. Here at Epic Studios we want to give people a chance to break out of the county and attract national acclaim.

“We’re looking for solo artists and bands that have ambition. We’re hopeful that connections will be made between the local musicians and the headliners and they’ll end up going on tour together in the future.”

He is looking for a diverse range of music, so any genre will be considered. The only restriction to consideration is that you must be over 14. So, don’t miss your chance to send in a demo for consideration.

Rick is also on the look out for multi-cultural bands to perform at the Magdalen Street Celebration in October. Do you think your act may fit the bill?

If you would like to find out more or send some material over, just drop him a line at

Good luck!
