Norfolk and Suffolk offer some of the best rural, forest, coastal (see Holkham beach below) and historical (see the Blickling estate tower above) filming locations in the UK, with numerous classic and award winners to their credit.
Productions filmed either completely or partly in our local area include: ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’, ‘Gulliver’s Travels’, ‘Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa’, ‘Shakespeare in Love’, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’, ‘Stardust’, ‘The Duchess’, ‘Tomb Raider’, ‘Tales of the Unexpected’, ‘EastEnders’, ‘Dad’s Army’, ‘The Eagle Has Landed’, ‘Out of Africa’, ‘The Chief’, ‘Iris’, ‘Jonathan Creek’, ‘Lovejoy’, ‘Allo, Allo’, ‘Full Metal Jacket’, and multiple James Bond movies.
When you produce at Epic Studios, all of the associated location filming options are on your doorstep – either in the city itself, or within an hour’s drive of our building. The historic Elm Hill in Norwich for example is situated less than half a mile from our door. This location was chosen as a backdrop for Stardust, due to its cobbled streets and genuine Tudor buildings.
